Administrator script execution via unsafe redirect links
Published Mar 28, 2025 · Updated Mar 28, 2025
Stored XSS in Publify before 10.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in an administrator's browser via a redirect. The redirect overview creates an anchor whose URI is the publisher-supplied target without rejecting javascript URLs, so clicking it runs the payload. A publisher account must create the redirect and an administrator must follow its link; successful exploitation can enable privilege escalation.
