Stored script execution via unsandboxed EPUB content

Stored cross-site scripting in Kareadita Kavita 0.8.0 and earlier allows attackers to run script when a user opens a crafted EPUB. The EPUB reader places book content into the browsing context without sanitizing scripts or applying an iframe sandbox, so embedded JavaScript runs with the active Kavita session. Exploitation requires a logged-in user to open the malicious book; the script can perform that user’s permitted API actions, including reading configured email credentials in the demonstrated case.
