CVE-2024-39278

Configuration disclosure via plaintext flash credentials

Published Sep 5, 2024 · Updated Sep 6, 2024

Credential exposure in Hughes Network Systems WL3000 Fusion Software before 2.7.0.10 allows physically proximate attackers to read configuration data. The software stores device-configuration access credentials unencrypted in flash memory rather than protecting them cryptographically. Physical access and successful flash extraction expose read-only network and terminal configuration data; no write or service-interruption impact is reported.
