CVE-2024-39275

Account impersonation via post-logout cookie reuse

Published Sep 27, 2024 · Updated Sep 27, 2024

Persistent session cookies in Advantech ADAM-5630 before 2.5.2 allow remote attackers to retain a logged-out user's privileges. The logout path closes the user session without invalidating its authentication cookie, so the server continues accepting requests that replay that cookie. Exploitation requires access to a legitimate authenticated cookie and grants only the privileges associated with that user's session.
