Stored XSS via unescaped Creative Button attributes
Published Jun 12, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in the Creative Button widget in BdThemes Element Pack 5.6.11 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts. The widget stores user-controlled attributes without sufficient sanitization and renders them without output escaping, allowing attacker-supplied onclick event code to enter a page. Contributor-level access is required to create the content, and the script executes in a visitor's browser when the injected page is viewed.
