SSH traffic interception via disabled host-key verification
Published Jul 3, 2024 · Updated Oct 25, 2024
Authentication bypass in GOST 2.11.5 and earlier allows man-in-the-middle attackers to intercept SSH forwarding communications. The sshForwardTransporter Handshake method assigns ssh.InsecureIgnoreHostKey as HostKeyCallback, accepting every presented server host key. Exploitation requires a position on the network path to an SSH forwarding endpoint and permits undetected interception of tunneled data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
