Unauthenticated account enumeration via conditional email disclosure
Published Jul 4, 2024 · Updated Aug 22, 2024
Observable response discrepancy in Kaiten 57.128.8 allows remote attackers to enumerate user accounts through the login endpoint. The POST /login handler returns a user_email field only when the submitted username belongs to an existing account. No authentication is required, and repeated username guesses disclose valid account names and associated email addresses.
