Stored XSS via unescaped mail settings
Published Jul 8, 2024 · Updated Mar 13, 2025
Stored XSS in Z-BlogPHP 1.7.3 Backend Theme Management allows context-dependent attackers to execute scripts through crafted mail settings. The Tuoyuan Pure Theme accepts script-bearing SMTP_PASS and related mail-field values and renders them as active markup instead of neutralizing them. Exploitation requires a user to view the affected backend content, where the script can read or alter data available to that browser session.
