OS command injection in D-Link DIR-823X firmware 240126 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands via LAN settings. The /goform/set_lan_settings handler accepts shell metacharacters in dhcpd_startip without neutralization before OS-command use. Access to the router management interface and low privileges are required, and successful commands can read or alter data or interrupt service.
