Unauthenticated code execution via upload path traversal
Published Jul 9, 2024 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Path traversal in PHPVibe 11.0.3 through 11.0.46 allows remote attackers to execute code through crafted upload requests. The upload-ffmpeg.php, upload-mp3.php, and upload.php handlers place an unfiltered token value into the fopen path, enabling traversal to overwrite the web-root .htaccess and place PHP code in a .png file. No authentication or user interaction is required; execution depends on Apache honoring the overwritten rewrite rules and parsing the uploaded image as PHP.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
