Root command execution via unvalidated magic URLs
Published Dec 1, 2025 · Updated Dec 1, 2025
OS command injection in Kerlink KerOS before 5.12 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary operating-system commands as root. The wmp-agent service accepts crafted magic URLs without proper validation, allowing attacker-supplied command text to reach root-level execution. No authentication or user interaction is required, but exploitation requires network reachability because a local firewall typically protects the service.
