Administrator-context code execution via DLL search order
Published Jul 9, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
DLL hijacking in iFood Order Manager 3.35.5 allows local users to execute arbitrary code when an administrator launches the application. Gestor de Peddios.exe searches its installation directory for d3d12.dll and loads an attacker-planted file there before the legitimate library. A low-privileged user must be able to write the DLL into C:\Gestor de Peddios, and execution inherits the administrator's application context.
