Authenticated code execution via unfiltered PHP file write
Published Jul 5, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Code injection in admin_ping.php in SeaCMS 12.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands. The handler concatenates unfiltered weburl and token values into /data/admin/ping.php, creating attacker-controlled executable PHP. An authenticated administrative session is required; requesting the generated PHP file runs commands with the web server account's permissions.
