Administrator-to-root execution via unsanitized VLAN identifier
Published Aug 6, 2026 · Updated Aug 6, 2026
Command injection in PacketFence 13.2.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute operating-system commands through the WebGui interface. Interface.pm's create function inserts the client-supplied vlan value into a sudo ip link command and passes the resulting string to pf_run without server-side validation. Access to the administrative interface configuration API is required, and injected shell syntax executes with root privileges.
