Code execution or service crash via prototype pollution
Published Jul 1, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Prototype pollution in AG Grid Enterprise 31.3.2 allows remote authenticated users to alter object behavior through crafted JSON input. The _ModuleSupport.jsonApply component applies attacker-controlled proto properties without blocking prototype-resolving keys, contaminating objects that inherit from Object.prototype. A reachable application path must pass authenticated user-controlled data to this library API; resulting gadgets determine whether pollution causes code execution or a service crash.
