Inherited property modification via unsafe parse processing
Published Jul 1, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Prototype pollution in adolphdudu ratio-swiper 0.0.2 allows remote attackers to alter inherited object properties via crafted input. The parse function processes JSON containing proto without blocking prototype keys, allowing assignments to modify Object.prototype. Exploitation requires a consuming application to pass attacker-controlled JSON to parse; denial of service or code execution depends on available application gadgets.
