Stored XSS via unsanitized image titles
Published Sep 11, 2024 · Updated Sep 11, 2024
Stored XSS in Envira Gallery before 1.8.15 allows remote authenticated users with Author access to execute scripts via image titles. The image settings workflow stores the Title field without sanitizing it and renders that value without escaping on embedded gallery pages. Author-level post-writing access is required, and the script executes in the browser of a user who views or edits the poisoned gallery.
