Code execution or service crash via recursive merge
Published Jul 1, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Prototype pollution in Age of Learning @aofl/cli-lib 3.14.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter object prototypes via crafted input. defaultsDeep recursively copies attacker-controlled child properties without rejecting proto or constructor.prototype, modifying Object.prototype. Exploitation requires an application to pass attacker-controlled objects into defaultsDeep and can corrupt application logic, execute code through a usable gadget, or crash the service.
