CVE-2024-38896Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated command execution via unsanitized schedule parameter

Published Jun 24, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Command injection in Wavlink WN551K1 Firmware 20210427 allows remote attackers to execute commands through a crafted start_hour value. The /cgi-bin/nightled.cgi handler copies the start_hour-derived v6 value into command buffer v33 without filtering before execution. No authentication or user interaction is required; the published assessment bounds observed impact to low confidentiality loss with no integrity or availability impact.
