Unauthenticated command execution via unfiltered IP parameter
Published Jun 24, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Command injection in Wavlink WN551K1 Firmware 20210427 allows remote attackers to execute OS commands through a crafted IP parameter. The /cgi-bin/touchlist_sync.cgi handler copies the IP value into the v36 buffer without filtering, so shell delimiters and commands are processed. No authentication or user interaction is required; the published proof of concept writes command output to a web-accessible file.
