Cleartext transmission in Caterease 16.0.1.1663 through 24.0.1.2405 allows remote attackers to read sensitive startup traffic. The client does not require encryption during TDS Pre-Login, leaving credentials, license keys, and user, client, and database details without transport protection. Remote attackers positioned on the client-server network can passively capture the exchange; the documented consequence is transmitted-data disclosure.
