Account takeover via client-side password validation
Published Aug 2, 2024 · Updated Jul 5, 2026
Password brute forcing in Horizon Cloud Caterease 16.0.1.1663 through 24.0.1.2405 allows local users to access accounts. The login screen enables its OK button only after a correct password is entered, testing candidate passwords locally without sending failed attempts to the server. Local access to the client permits unlimited, unlogged guesses; a correct guess grants the compromised account's access to application data and actions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
