Account takeover via local profile-name matching
Published Aug 2, 2024 · Updated Jul 5, 2026
Authentication bypass in Horizon Cloud Caterease 16.0.1.1663 through 24.0.1.2405 allows local users to access user accounts. The Active Directory login path compares the local Windows profile name with the configured directory username instead of verifying credentials with the domain controller. Local users able to create a matching profile can impersonate an enabled directory user and read, alter, insert, or delete data under that account.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
