CVE-2024-38876Public exploit

Local privilege escalation via writable service executable

Published Aug 2, 2024 · Updated Nov 3, 2025

Local privilege escalation in Siemens Omnivise T3000 R8.2 SP3, R8.2 SP4, and R9.2 allows local users to execute arbitrary code. The DSGW Service runs E:\dsgw\gw\bin\dsgwservice.exe with elevated privileges even though Authenticated Users can overwrite that executable. Authenticated local access to a T3000 Terminal Server is sufficient to replace the binary and gain the service account's privileges.
