CVE-2024-38826Network attack vector

Authenticated service interruption via crafted file upload

Published Nov 11, 2024 · Updated Mar 17, 2025

Resource consumption in Cloud Foundry CAPI releases before 1.194.0 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt Cloud Controller service. The upload-processing path leaks server resources while handling a specifically crafted file; Cloud Foundry has not disclosed the affected handler or resource type. Any authenticated platform user who can upload files can consume availability, but the advisory does not identify whether the result is a hang, crash, or another interruption.
