Heap overflow in VMware vCenter Server 7.0 and 8.0 allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted DCERPC packet. The DCERPC implementation writes beyond a heap allocation while processing the packet, but VMware has not disclosed the faulty parser or field. Network access to the service is sufficient; affected Cloud Foundation 4.x and 5.x deployments inherit the vCenter Server exposure.
