Unauthenticated post disclosure via unprotected REST APIs
Published Nov 1, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Missing authorization in Custom Query Blocks 5.2.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to retrieve post data through REST API requests. Several plugin REST API routes expose post-query callbacks without an effective capability check, so anonymous requests receive data intended for authorized users. No account or user interaction is required; the demonstrated consequence is read-only disclosure of WordPress post data, not modification or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
