Authenticated memory corruption via oversized qos parameter
Published Apr 16, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda F1202 1.2.0.20(408) allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory via the qos parameter. The fromqossetting handler accepts an oversized, user-controlled qos value without enforcing the destination stack buffer's bounds. Low-privileged access to the network management interface is required; the public record does not establish whether exploitation ends in a crash or code execution.
