Memory corruption via unbounded page parameter
Published Apr 16, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda F1202 1.2.0.20(408) allows remote authenticated users to corrupt process memory via HTTP. The fromVirtualSer handler for /goform/VirtualSer accepts the page parameter without an effective length bound, overflowing a stack buffer. Authentication is required, and successful exploitation can crash the service or alter execution within the router process.
