Authenticated router compromise via page buffer overflow
Published Apr 16, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda F1202 1.2.0.20(408) allows remote authenticated users to compromise the router via a crafted POST request. The /goform/Natlimit handler's fromNatlimit function places the unbounded page parameter into a fixed-size stack buffer. Low-privilege management access is required, and exploitation can expose or alter data or interrupt the device.
