Authenticated memory corruption via remoteIP stack overflow
Published Apr 16, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda W20E 15.11.0.6 allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory via a crafted remoteIP value. The formSetRemoteWebManage handler accepts remoteIP at /goform/SetRemoteWebManage without an effective length bound, overflowing its stack buffer. Reaching the handler requires authenticated access to the router's web management interface; exploitation compromises confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
