Authenticated local file inclusion via unchecked layout
Published Jul 12, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Path traversal in ExS Widgets 0.3.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to include attacker-selected local PHP files. The posts-layout setting reaches a PHP file include without restricting the supplied layout to the available layouts. Contributor-level access is required; successful inclusion can expose data from an attacker-selected local PHP file.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
