Unauthenticated shortcode execution via unchecked action value
Published Jul 12, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Code injection in RealMag777 WPCS 1.2.0.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary WordPress shortcodes. An unauthenticated action passes an attacker-controlled value to WordPress do_shortcode without validating which shortcode runs. The request requires no account or user interaction and can invoke any shortcode registered on the site, exposing the data or state accessible to that shortcode.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=0 <=1.2.0.3
