CVE-2024-38657Network attack vector

Administrator arbitrary file write via controlled filename

Published Feb 21, 2025 · Updated Feb 21, 2025

File-name control in Ivanti Connect Secure before 22.7R2.4 and Policy Secure before 22.7R1.3 allows remote authenticated users to write arbitrary files. The public record states only that an externally controlled filename reaches a file-writing operation; Ivanti has not disclosed the affected component, parameter, or validation failure. Administrator privileges are required, and the documented consequence is an arbitrary file write rather than a disclosed path to code execution.
