Kernel memory exposure or corruption via ftrace race

Use-after-free in Linux kernel ftrace from 3.7 allows local users to expose or corrupt kernel memory during module removal. lookup_rec() can search a module's ftrace pages while ftrace_release_mod() concurrently frees those pages because the lookup lacks RCU protection. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access and winning the race between kprobe registration and removal of the corresponding module.
