CVE-2024-3851Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored XSS via unsanitized HTML uploads

Published May 16, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

Stored XSS in Zylon PrivateGPT allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript in another user's browser via uploaded HTML files. The file-upload path accepts HTML containing script payloads without validating or neutralizing executable content, then serves that content for browser access. Exploitation requires upload access and a victim who opens the stored file; the published CNA assessment bounds the resulting impact to browser-session data exposure.
