Stored XSS via unneutralized project descriptions
Published Jun 18, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in JetBrains Hub before 2024.2.34646 allows remote authenticated users to run script in another user's browser. Hub stores attacker-controlled markup in a project description and later renders the description without neutralizing executable browser content. Exploitation requires high-privileged project-description access and a victim to view the affected project, enabling session-context data access or actions.
