Unauthorized article file uploads via guest account
Published Jun 18, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Missing authorization in JetBrains YouTrack before 2024.2.34646 allows remote attackers using the guest account to attach files to articles. The article-attachment authorization path accepts upload actions from the built-in guest account instead of denying them. Reachability requires an enabled guest account and an accessible article; successful use adds attacker-controlled content without broader account privileges.
