CVE-2024-38487

Host access via root-privileged api-gateway container

Published Jun 16, 2026 · Updated Jun 16, 2026

Improper privilege management in Dell VxRail Appliance before 7.0.520 allows local users to escape the api-gateway container. The api-gateway container runs with root privilege, weakening its isolation from the underlying host system. Exploitation requires low local privileges and high complexity; successful escape permits host-system access and can interrupt availability.
