Report authorship reassignment via unchecked UUID
Published Jul 17, 2024 · Updated Nov 7, 2024
Authorization bypass in NATO NCI ANET 3.4.1 allows remote authenticated users to assign their reports to arbitrary users. The GraphQL report-update endpoint accepts a client-supplied author UUID in a POST request without enforcing the interface's ownership restriction on the server. Any user able to create and edit a report can transfer its recorded authorship without the named user's consent, moving the report between user dashboards.
