Memory corruption via raced JPEG IOCTL parameters
Published Nov 4, 2024 · Updated Nov 16, 2024
Memory corruption in the Qualcomm Snapdragon JPEG Encoder driver allows local users to corrupt memory through crafted IOCTL parameters. The driver checks IOCTL input state and later uses it after a concurrent change can invalidate the checked state. A local low-privilege process must reach the driver's IOCTL interface; Qualcomm reports no required user interaction.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
