Local privilege escalation via group-info use-after-free
Published Sep 2, 2024 · Updated Sep 6, 2024
Use-after-free in Qualcomm DSP Services firmware allows local users to corrupt memory through a group-information IOCTL request. The service mishandles an allocation's lifetime while obtaining group information, leaving freed memory reachable during IOCTL processing. Low-privileged local access is required, and successful exploitation can compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability without user interaction.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
