Privilege impersonation via includer-context macro execution
Published Jun 24, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Incorrect authorization in XWiki Platform before 15.0-rc-1 allows remote authenticated users to impersonate including-page authors. The Include Macro's AUTO author mode executes a target document in the includer's authorization context unless the target author has programming rights. Any account able to edit the target document can inject content that runs with the including author's rights, including programming rights when held.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
