Remote code execution via unauthenticated cluster commands
Published Jul 5, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Command injection in Apache CloudStack 4.0.0 through 4.18.2.0 and 4.19.0.0 through 4.19.0.1 allows remote attackers to execute code. Apache identifies injection in cluster-service commands but has not disclosed the affected handlers or the unsafe input-to-shell operation. Network reachability to port 9090 is required; exploitation runs through agents that can hold privileged host access, enabling compromise of managed infrastructure.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=4.0.0 <=4.18.2.0
- Affected versionversion=4.0.0 <4.18.2.1
- Affected versionversion=4.19.0.0 <=4.19.0.1
