Password-hash extraction via VMP meeting ID injection
Published Jul 25, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
SQL injection in the VMP endpoint in R-HUB TurboMeeting through 8.x allows unauthenticated remote attackers to extract password hashes. The endpoint strips selected characters from the meeting_id value but embeds the remaining input in an SQLite query, allowing comment-delimited SQL tokens to alter it. No user interaction is required; boolean responses disclose the administrator hash one character at a time and enable application login.
