Root command execution via unsanitized CSR input
Published Jul 25, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
OS command injection in R-HUB TurboMeeting before 8.0 allows remote authenticated users with administrator privileges to execute commands as root. The CSR endpoint at /as/wapi/generate_csr passes an unsanitized common_name value into a privileged shell command, allowing backtick substitution. Administrator access to the network-facing management portal is required; successful exploitation grants root command execution on the appliance.
