Insufficiently protected credentials in Motorola Solutions Vigilant Fixed LPR Coms Box 3.1.171.9 and earlier allow local users to alter operations. The device operating system accepts hard-coded default credentials, granting OS access without unique per-device authentication. Possession of the defaults and local access to the appliance are sufficient to change camera behavior or shut it down, after which physical reboot is required.
