CVE-2024-38281

Maintenance-console access via hard-coded wireless credentials

Published Jun 13, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Hard-coded credentials in Vigilant Fixed LPR Coms Box firmware through 3.1.171.9 allow attackers to access the maintenance console. The device's hidden wireless access point accepts a credential embedded in affected firmware and exposes the console after authentication. An attacker must be within wireless range and possess the hard-coded credential; successful access grants maintenance-console control.
