Denial of service in Microsoft Virtual Hard Disk on affected Windows releases allows remote attackers to interrupt service. Microsoft has not disclosed the affected VHDX code path or unsafe operation, but states that exploitation requires winning a race condition. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation causes availability loss without reported data disclosure or modification.
