Information disclosure in Microsoft Office 2016, 2019, LTSC 2021, and Microsoft 365 Apps allows remote attackers to capture NTLM hashes. Microsoft has not published the affected Office component or the operation that makes crafted files or web content initiate outbound NTLM authentication. Exploitation requires user interaction with crafted content and exposes authentication material for relay attacks or offline password cracking.
